Academy At The Creek

Mrs. Kim Garcia To All Instructors

Welcome to Academy at the Creek! I am a proud member of Creekside Church, where I also serve in the Creekside Kids Children's Ministry.

I hold a B.A. in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University (Go Owls!) and am a proud mom of three grown sons—many of my favorite memories were made at the baseball field cheering them on.

This is my second year teaching at AATC. I currently teach Theatre, Upper Elementary Creative Storytelling, Middle School Creative Storytelling, and both Middle and High School Civics/American Government.

With years of experience nurturing young minds, I’ve taught in public schools and worked in a variety of creative fields, including film, television, theatre, and photography. My educational journey has included teaching 8th Grade American History, American Government, AP Psychology, Law Studies, and Leadership. I’ve also sponsored Student Government, coordinated the “Ought to Be a Law” program, and served as Lead Teacher for several Magnet Programs.

I’m passionate about helping students grow in creativity, confidence, and citizenship. It’s a joy to be part of the AATC community!
