Mrs. Tessie Hudmon To All Instructors

I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Academy at the Creek this year.

Our family moved to Tampa two years ago after my husband retired from the United States Air Force following 20 years of service. Before moving here, we spent many years in the Florida Panhandle near the beautiful Emerald Coast beaches.
We have three children ages 17, 10, and 6. Our two youngest children will be attending Academy at the Creek, while our oldest daughter will be entering her senior year of high school. God has faithfully led our family to Creekside Church and now to Academy at the Creek. We are excited to begin our homeschooling journey and feel blessed to be part of this community.

I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and worked for nearly six years with the Guardian ad Litem child advocacy program before becoming a stay-at-home mom. I spent some time working with my family’s business establishing an event venue, while dedicating most of my time to my growing family. I was later blessed with the opportunity to return to work as a Kindergarten teacher at the Christian school and church our family attended. It was there that I discovered my passion for teaching and, in particular, my love for Kindergarten. There is something truly special about witnessing the wonder, excitement, and love of learning through the eyes and hearts of kindergarteners. Most importantly, I have the privilege of teaching them about the greatest wonder and the most amazing love of all, the love that Jesus has for each of them. God has created them uniquely and wonderfully, and their gifts will make our classroom a special place!

I am passionate about creating a loving, encouraging, and Christ-centered classroom where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. I look forward to a wonderful year at Academy at the Creek!
