Mrs. Nyisha Chu To All Instructors
Hi, I’m Nyisha Chu. I’m a homeschool mom of three and excited to be teaching at the co-op for the first time this year! I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and spent ten years working in the staffing and recruiting industry in corporate America.
My two oldest children began in traditional school, but I always felt the Lord nudging me toward bringing them home. Eventually I stepped out in faith despite feeling nervous and ill-equipped at first. What I didn’t expect was how much homeschooling would transform the way I think about learning.
As I began teaching my own children, I had a bit of an “aha” moment. I realized how often education focuses on memorizing facts and repeating information, rather than helping students learn how to think deeply, ask good questions, and discern what is true. That realization sparked a passion in me to help kids develop critical thinking skills so they can thoughtfully engage with ideas, evaluate arguments, and navigate the real world with confidence and wisdom. Homeschooling has been one of the greatest gifts to our family, and I’m excited to share that passion for thoughtful learning with the students in my classes.
