Mrs. Nicole Powell To All Instructors

Hello! My name is Nicole Powell, and I am excited for the opportunity to teach within
the Academy at the Creek homeschool community. I have been an educator since
the early 2000s, beginning my career in the traditional school system, where I built a
strong foundation in teaching and developed a deep appreciation for the heart and
individuality of each student.

In 2006, I became a mom, and my role as an educator naturally expanded into full-
time motherhood. When our oldest child reached kindergarten age, our family began our

homeschool journey—a decision that has profoundly shaped my teaching philosophy and
strengthened my passion for home education. Homeschooling has allowed me to support and
guide all three of our children in ways that honor their unique learning styles, pacing, and
strengths.
My husband, Pascal, and I have been happily married for 23 amazing years. We are proud
parents of three wonderful children—Teagan (19), Braxton (17), and Bella (12). Our family also
includes two dogs, Loki and Bailey, who keep us laughing and on our toes. Life is busy and full
of love, centered around family and sports—especially soccer and volleyball—and we
wouldn’t have it any other way.
I will be offering these classes in the 2026-2027 school year: Upper elementary Math, Middle
School Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I.
My philosophy is rooted in helping students feel confident, capable, and curious, while
recognizing that each child learns differently and is fearfully and wonderfully made. I believe
every student can succeed in math when they feel supported, appropriately challenged, and
safe to make mistakes as part of the learning process.
It is a true joy to partner with parents in their homeschooling journey, and I am honored to walk
alongside families as their children grow in both skill and confidence. I look forward to
supporting students, encouraging a love of learning, and working together to help each child
reach their full potential.
